NYC Constructors is the dedicated structural steel erection company behind some of New York City’s most recognizable structures. Operating exclusively within the five boroughs, we self-perform steel erection on the high-rises, airports, event centers, and government facilities that define the city’s skyline.
Our roots in New York run deep. Long before joining Banker Steel, NYC Constructors erected the steel for high-rise structures in the city, including the World Trade Center Towers 1, 3, and 4, along with the architecturally distinctive World Trade Center Transportation Hub. That legacy reflects who we are: the specialists who understand that in New York, the challenge isn’t just erecting steel — it’s lifting it safely, precisely, and on schedule.
In 2016, Banker Steel acquired NYC Constructors — a pivotal moment that united fabrication and erection under a single, in-house team. The acquisition expanded Banker Steel’s capabilities and created a construction powerhouse: NYCC’s specialized New York City erection expertise paired with Banker Steel’s fabrication excellence.
Together, we control the full lifecycle of a project — from the mill to the top-out. Banker Steel fabricates steel sequenced to the field, and NYC Constructors erects it with precision, eliminating the gaps that derail traditional, fragmented projects. In a city where logistics make or break a schedule, that single point of accountability is a decisive advantage.
Banker Steel is a full-service, AISC-certified structural steel fabricator serving the East Coast construction market. Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Lynchburg, Virginia, Banker Steel brings preconstruction, fabrication, and erection together into a single coordinated team — owning the outcome from the first conversation to the placement of the final beam.
As Banker Steel's dedicated erection company in New York City, NYC Constructors delivers the field half of that integrated solution, backed by the fabrication capacity of Banker Steel and parent company DBM Global.
Within New York City, NYC Constructors erects the structures that shape daily life across the five boroughs.

Everyone goes home the same way they showed up. That is the standard at NYC Constructors — not a goal, not a metric, but a non-negotiable commitment that runs from the ground floor to the top of every structure we build.
Our safety culture is proactive, data-driven, and embedded into every phase of a project. Hazards are identified and mitigated in preconstruction, not discovered in the field. Proprietary safety systems, site-specific safety plans, and continuous workforce training ensure our people, our partners, and the public are protected on every project we deliver.
